How AutoSureEstimator Works
We generate educational insurance cost ranges using a transparent multiplier model. Real quotes vary by carrier, underwriting, ZIP, vehicle, credit (where allowed), and driving history.
1) Inputs (what you select)
Your selections create a risk profile. Each tool uses only non-identifying inputs.
- State factor — legal environment & baseline pricing differences.
- Violation factor — DUI, no insurance, suspension, etc.
- Age factor — broad risk bands (not exact age).
- Coverage factor — minimum vs standard vs full coverage.
2) Model (how the range is computed)
We start from a baseline annual premium and apply multipliers. Then we generate a low/high range to reflect uncertainty.
- Baseline annual × state × age × coverage
- High-risk tools also apply a violation multiplier (SR-22, DUI, etc.)
- Range is shown as ±15% to avoid fake precision
Why your real quote can be different
Carriers price differently. Two drivers with identical basics can still get different quotes because of underwriting and local variables.
ZIP & garaging
Crime, theft, weather, claim frequency, repair costs.
Vehicle
Model, trim, safety tech, repairability, theft risk.
History
Tickets, accidents, lapses in coverage, prior limits.
SR-22: what the estimator shows
SR-22 is not insurance. It’s a filing. The cost impact comes from being rated as high-risk after the triggering violation.
- Estimated monthly increase — difference between clean rate and high-risk rate.
- Total monthly premium — clean base + high-risk surcharge.
- Filing fee — typically a small one-time carrier fee.
SR-22: how to interpret results
Use the range as a planning tool (budgeting), then compare real quotes from carriers in your state.
- Use the low end as “best case”
- Use the high end as “stress test”
- Expect variation by carrier (preferred vs high-risk specialists)
FAQ
Do you collect personal data?
No. Our tools are built to work without VIN, SSN, phone, email, or any sensitive identifier.
Is this an exact quote?
No. We provide educational ranges. Final pricing depends on underwriting, carrier rules, and your full profile.
Why show a range instead of one number?
Because insurance is variable. Ranges are more honest than fake precision.
Can I use this to choose coverage?
Use it to understand cost impact, then speak with a licensed professional for coverage decisions.
